Irwin Boris
Investment Committee Member
Irwin is a member of Heritage’s investment committee, responsible for reviewing acquisitions, underwriting and financing terms.
He is a Director for Enterprise Community Investment's diversified financial products group. Irwin manages the company's multifamily platform for the northeast. He sources, originates and underwrites debt financing transactions on multifamily projects on a national basis; specializing in value-added transactions and transactions involving work force housing & preservation; and has an ever growing established network of relationships in the multifamily arena.
Prior to joining Enterprise in 2010, Mr. Boris spent three years sourcing apartment acquisitions for several private investors where he was responsible for underwriting, due diligence and capital markets activities; and was a top originator during his 10 year tenure with Capmark Finance / GMAC Commercial Mortgage; specializing in multifamily construction, bridge, equity and permanent financing products.
Irwin has more than 25 years experience in real estate finance, investment and asset management; the past 18 years utilizing Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, conventional mortgages and private placements in a broad range of housing finance transactions. During his professional career, Irwin has participated as a direct lender, principal, investment banker and consultant in more than $5.0 billion in multifamily real estate transactions throughout the United States and Canada.
Mr. Boris received his M.S. in Real Estate from New York University (NYU) with a concentration in Real Estate Investment and received his Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Long Island University.
